June Favourites!

Hello beautys,

Sooo, I was running out of ideas on bblogs and thought I would create a trend I could write about every month - MONTHLY FAVOURITES. I know that this is super popular on YouTube, so why not blog them? :)

This month, I have been loving a huge amount of products (mainly makeup) and thought I would share a few with you all, sit back and enjoy!

To begin with, I will start with something really simple - its the Primark P.S. Love This Make-up Brush Cleanser. At an affordable price of £1.50 this is one of the best brush cleaners I have come across. The bottles have a spray applicator with 125ml of product in each bottle. Most alcohol based cleaners smell horrendous but this one has this scent which I weirdly really like. It smells super fresh and fruity. I have used this on all types of brushes, including my synthetic ones and it has done an amazing job. Its a great cleanser when you want to quickly clean your brushes, however by no means is it a substitute for deep cleaning your brushes (so no getting away with that!)

Next, we have the La Roche- Posay Effaclar Clarifying Toner. This came in the 3-step anti-blemish system kit and I have been loving it! I have combination skin, but over the last few week it was more oily than usual. So, I dug this toner out again and it has helped mattify my skin quite dramatically. It also tightens pores and feels super hydrating. (I am going to do a separate review on the 3 step anti-blemish system kit so, I won't rant on about it too much!).

Eeek, and next we have the very hyped over SMASHBOX PRIMER WATER. So, I was lusting over this product for such a long time and a few months ago I took the leap and bought it. I have used it EVERYDAY since and it has really helped keep my makeup in place for a lot longer than usual. Although I can't say its the sole reason (as I still use a silicone based primer in my t-zone) it has most certainly helped create a sheer canvas for great makeup application. Another plus, is the fact that for lazy people (sometimes, me) its super easy to apply.

Another favourite is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Warm Eye Palette. This consists of 6 gorgeous neautral shades which are so easy to work with. Blonde is a great transition shade and Ivory and Chiffon make great highlighters for the brow bone or inner tear duct. I love the shade Espresso which allows me to transform a day look into a night look so quickly. But, most of all I love the two metallic shades, antique gold and golden chocolate which are the perfect shades of brown for any skin tone.

From L to R: Ivory, Antique Gold (Metallic), Blonde, Chiffon (Sparkle), Golden Chocolate (Metallic) and Espresso.
For the days I don't feel like wearing the neutral shades, I have continuously reached for this Nars duo - Bouthan. There is a pale pink with an ivory undertone shade and a gilded magenta with sparks of gold glitter, so if you're into pink - this is definitely a duo to check out.

On to the face, I LOVEEEE this Baked Sculpting Trio from Sephora's own range. Its such a convenient product which consists of three gorgeous shades. First we have the sculpter which can be used for contouring (on the cheekbones, chin and jawline), then we have the blush (which is a gorgeous baked hot pink) for the apples of the cheeks and then highlighter which can be applied above the cheekbones, down the bridge of the nose, brow bone and décolletage. Its the best product to have in your makeup bag when you're on the go and it does an amazing job overall.

Onto the lips, we have the Too Faced Lip Insurance - in the summer this is an absolute life saver! As I am loving having matte lips, its so important to have smooth lips to prevent feathering and to ensure that your lipstick stays on for the day. It has this creamy formulation which feels silky and velvety on the lips and allows for smooth application.

So, once I have applied the lip insurance - this is my GO TO combo at the moment. Charlotte Tilbury's lipstick in the shade "Bitch Perfect" and the lipliner in "Pillowtalk". This is such a pretty earthy toned nude which really suits people of my skintone (or similar) and the lipliner is by far my favourite lipliner EVER. Its a matte nudey muave - I have never come across a lipliner that I have fallen in love with as much as this one. GO AND TRY IT. No, honestly you will love it.

Last but not least, every girl loves a little bit of gloss to plump up her lips. This MAC lipglass in the shade "Ravishing" looks stunning both alone and ontop of a light coral or a nude shade lipstick. I tend to keep this in my makeup bag when I'm on the go as its a great "top up" kind of shade.

What are your favourites this month?

Lots of love,

Nouveau Beauty xo
