EX1 - Invisiwear Foundation Review!

Hello my beauties,

I know I promised I would review this foundation last week, however things got a little crazy as I was away (in lovely little Rome - which reminds me guys, would you like me to expand my bblog to more lifestyle blogs too? More advice, travel, lifestyle type posts as well as beauty? If so, leave a comment and let me know! :)) & when I got back I had endless amounts of university work to catch up on. Now, that I have done that I am back on track and hope to keep blogging every week for you all!

As you can see from the title, this is a little review on the EX1 - Invisiwear Liquid Foundation. On a daily basis I usually use my YSL ink fusion foundation which I LOVE. However, I wanted to find a cheaper alternative as I would like my readers to have the best of both worlds - high end and drugstore product reviews.

So, I purchased this foundation from lookfantastic.com for a bargain buy of £12.50 and free P&P.  Most drugstore foundations range from £8.00-£15.00 so I thought this was a great price.

The website describes it as:

"A lightweight and luminous liquid base, formulated with light diffusers which unify skin tone and cover imperfections effortlessly ...the perfect skin-on-skin effect, flaws concealed with make-up that looks barely there, even in natural daylight..." I totally agree with the fact that its lightweight. It almost feels like I have a really lightweight BB cream or moisturiser on. It blends in really well and as these foundations are targeted at the Asian/exotic skin tones its great for those with the yellow/olive undertones (like myself).

As for coverage, its often been described as a medium to full foundation however, as I have experimented with several different foundations I would say its quite light to medium coverage, you know that "barely there, minimalistic look". I would highly recommend it to those with combination skin however, for those who have discolouration, acne etc. it wouldn't be the best choice as the coverage is very minimal.

Consistency wise, it can't be faulted. It really reminds me of the YSL touché éclat foundation - not watery, but 'liquidy' enough to apply evenly and perfectly.

On a personal level, I love using this on a daily basis & I definitely do not regret buying it. One disadvantage is probably that there is only 5 shades - from F100 to F500. I purchased F200 after reading up on the shade spectrum. Thankfully, it was exactly the shade to suit my skin tone.

I love the packaging of this foundation, it has a copper lid and as you can see from the image above a transparent bottle. Its a pump based foundation which is always a winner for me.

Overall? Definitely a purchase I am happy with and I will continually keep using this foundation on a daily basis! :)

Have you tried this foundation, if so, what were your thoughts? :)

Thanks for reading my beauties.

Lots of love,

Nouveau Beauty xoxo

  2. Hi Carmen! I wouldn't say its extremely olive, however, it is best suited for those with a yellow/olive undertone! :) x
